We are looking for a full time Sr. Server (ASP.net) Developer to assist in bringing a new model in cell phone services to the market. Mobile Posse (http://www.mobileposse.com) is the leading provider of content and idle screen advertising in the US. The company recently closed on a $10 million round of venture capital from top-tier firms and is commercially launched on one carrier with several others pending. This position is located in McLean, VA. We will relocate or offer telecommuting for the right candidate
Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Developer you have an opportunity to become one of the founding members of our technology team, and to create and deploy technology and services that will have broad impact across the mobile and advertising industry. Building on a base of carrier relationships, strong server infrastructure and an existing client/server implementation, this key developer will further our momentum by designing and developing our next generation server capability. Assist us with expanding our capabilities across an array of business models. Work to design and build robust advertising and content management and targeting systems. And help us by building our next generation architecture for scaling and high availability.
Job Requirements:
Requires strong interpersonal, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work closely with all levels of management. A strong IT background is a must with key understanding of and experience in the following areas:
* 10+ years of server development in Windows and/or Unix environments
* Deep understanding of the .NET framework with substantial professional development in C#
* High volume, scalable ASP.Net web platform architecture experience including web services, AJAX, HTTP Handlers, etc.
* Rapid development approaches (Agile/Scrum, etc.)
* .NET security patterns and practices
* Recent experience with ADO.NET, web services, IIS 6.0, XML, SQL Server and stored procedures
* In-depth knowledge of programming and operations within multi-tier architectures.
* Test driven development
* New feature prototyping
* Previous lead architecture
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 10+ years experience, as a results oriented developer in a fast-paced, team based environment. Experience with the full life cycle of software development
Key experience in the following areas a strong plus:
* Windows CE or Windows Mobile.
* BREW, J2ME or similar environment
* Online advertising systems
Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from a four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
