RPI is a high tech digital printing firm, located in Seattle which provides fulfillment and logistics services for consumer-oriented B2C websites for major customers which market a wide variety of digital photo based printed products.
SUMMARY: Responsible for providing leadership and coordination of all of the company's accounting functions, including daily and periodic transactions. Ensure the Company's accounting records and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
2. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget, including proper departmental reporting and review.
Oversee the month end close process, ensuring the distribution of an accurate financial statement p
3. ackage no later than the 15th of the month.
4. Preparation of financial reporting for distribution to the Board of Directors.
5. Coordination and management of the annual financial statement audit.
6. Coordination and management of all federal, state and local tax filings.
7. Development, modification and implementation of internal controls appropriate for a Company of RPI's size.
8. Development and implementation of a purchasing process.
9. Primary ownership of Company's ERP system (excluding Print Flo).
10. Periodic review and analysis of current costing for each product produced.
11. Coordination with Manufacturing team surrounding the tracking and monitoring of inventory.
12. Assists the CFO in the annual budgeting process.
13. Weekly forecasting of cash flow requirements for rolling 6 month period.
14. Work with Sales and Manufacturing to establish pricing for new product offerings.
15. Preparation and distribution of weekly reporting to management.
16. Management and training of Senior Accountant.
17. Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by management.
18. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
2. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
3. Detail oriented team player.
4. Four Year Accounting Degree, required.
5. CPA, preferred.
6. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
