Position Description
Reporting to the CMO, the Graphic Design Manager is responsible for the development of high-quality publications and presentations as well as the management of the company's corporate websites. This is a hands-on job for a dynamic individual who works across all phases, from concept to execution.
The Graphic Design Manager's essential duties and responsibilities:
* Responsible for the development of high-quality publications and presentations including marketing materials, white papers, proposals, meeting handouts, and onscreen presentations
* Manage the company's corporate websites, including site structure/wireframe, overall design, customer/prospect usability, content, and optimization
* Perform continual assessment of the overall design, navigation and content appeal of our websites and is able to extend visual appeal of website through graphics and multimedia
* Create page layouts and artwork using Adobe design products
* Designs, updates and manages web pages
* Designs and develops HTML emails
* Designs, develops, and executes banners and FLASH sitelets to support lead generation campaigns
* Monitors and analyzes web traffic and provides regular reporting on campaign effectiveness
* Assists in writing search engine optimized content
* Manages/participates in projects with marketing teams
Qualifications:
* B.A./B.S. in Marketing, Business, or equivalent training and experience
* Five (5) to seven(7) years of relevant experience, including desktop publishing and web design
Skills and Abilities:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
* Must work quickly under short deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and work in a highly collaborative team environment
* Keen eye graphic conceptualization and love solving layout challenges
* Complete knowledge of the creative process, particularly practical implementation
* Proven mastery of visual design principles as they apply to web user interfaces and practical knowledge of user centered design methodologies
* Knowledge of information architecture and interaction design principles
* Expertise in current Internet standards, including web browsers and browser specifications
* In-depth knowledge of one or more current web markup or scripting languages, such as XHTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax
* In-depth knowledge of email marketing tools such as Cooler Email
* Proficiency in at least one web authoring software, such as Dreamweaver, FrontPage, GoLive
* Experience with at least one desktop publishing/imaging application in each of the following categories:
o Photo Editing (Adobe Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro)
o Drawing (Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia FreeHand, Corel Draw)
o Page Layout (Adobe InDesign)
o Presentation (MS PowerPoint) Multimedia (Macromedia Director, Flash, streaming audio and video)
