Director, Security Services
|
Job Description:
Premier Security Corporation, an affiliated company to Levy Security Corporation, is seeking a Director to operate our Security Services Department. This position would have overall operations responsibility for 9 accounts in the Chicagoland area and requires a well organized and dedicated manager. Successful candidates will be able to work efficiently in order to support the needs of clients, diverse guests, building tenants and line personnel while demonstrating extraordinary time management skills, proper planning and superior organization. The proven ability to mentor, supervise and develop employees as well as the flexibility to adjust your work schedule around the individual needs of your staff is a necessity.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
* Must be at least 20 years of age.
* A Bachelor's degree is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required.
* Must have at least three (3) years experience in a supervisory position managing mulitple locations.
* Must have scheduling flexibility and be willing and able to work all shifts as required.
* Must pass a stringent pre-employment background investigation, demonstrating a stable work history.
* Must disclose all criminal convictions and whether any charges against you are currently pending.
* Must have an exceptional job performance and attendance record.
* Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Must have the ability to hold confidential, sensitive information and reports.
* Must have an aggressive work philosophy along with strong leadership and team building skills.
* Must be able to relate well with people of all cultures and backgrounds.
* Must have a clear understanding of Employment Policies and Procedures.
* Experience with fire/life/safety programs and commercial building security/customer service experience preferred.
* Must have keen observation skills and analytical skills.
* Must have a valid Driver's License in good standing with access to a reliable vehicle at all times.
* Must possess Microsoft Office skills.
GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
* Ensuring quality assurance and contract compliance through site inspections, program auditing, developing and mentoring employees and conducting ongoing field training.
* Completing computer generated inspection reports for client review.
* Required to carry company cell phone and be available for emergency response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
* May be required to hold a post position until a suitable replacement is identified in order to ensure contractual obligations are met - generally only necessary in emergency situations.
* Preparing weekly schedules for personnel without incurring any unnecessary overtime.
* Responsible for employee training and development.
* Issuing disciplinary action for policy violations.
* Developing and maintaining positive client relations.
* Administrative assignments to include interviewing/recruitment, billing, payroll, data entry, overtime control, etc.
* Direct fiscal responsibility via cost effective budget management.
STARTING SALARY - mid-40's
