Rapidly Expanding Top 3 Travel Company in New York City is seeking a highly motivated, focused, entrepreneurial and proactive Web Content, Newsletter and Contests/Sweepstakes Manager with a thorough travel industry background and expertise in managing web content, newsletters, social networking applications, contests and sweepstakes programs.
Candidate will be managing newsletters for two consumer travel brands, implementing new ideas to improve content for two consumer travel brands, implementing sweepstakes and contests from inception to completion on an ongoing basis, bringing social networking applications to market on Facebook.com, MySpace.com and others, researching and launching new landing pages on two consumer travel sites, optimizing landing page designs, managing offshore content team, managing weekly newsletters for two brands, hiring and Managing Freelance Travel Writer/Editor, coordinating tech projects with Technology, Graphics/Creative, SEM and SEO teams, ensuring fresh and updated content on all sites, implementing new ideas to improve sign-ups for newsletters and improve look and feel and content of newsletter to increase traffic and sales, conceptualizing and implementing sweepstakes within newsletter platform from start to finish as well as contests, implementing social network applications across all social networking websites, replacing and adding quality landing pages directly resulting in increase of conversion rate.
Qualifications
* Significant online travel industry experience
* Experience in managing newsletters
* Proven track record in project/process management skills
* Experience in social networking applications
* Demonstrated success increasing sales
* Ability to launch 1000's of content rich landing pages each month
* Ability to increase conversion rate by adding and replacing quality landing pages
* Thorough understanding of online consumer travel site traffic generation
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good business acumen
* MS Office proficiency
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience in co-designing, writing and editing travel content
* Experience in working in the online travel consumer site industry
