Please visit our website at [link removed] PRODUCT ANALYST JOB SUMMARY: NTT Multimedia Communications Laboratories, Inc. is a global IT professional firm that develops new IT services and provides consultation services mainly to its parent company, NTT Communications Corporation in Japan. The candidate will be a key contributor to consultation services in the specific fields (Security, Virtualization, E-Commerce, etc.) that are quarterly defined. The candidate is primarily responsible for investigating cutting-edge trends in the field by fully utilizing resources available in the Silicon Valley, and present strategic and technical recommendations based on the feedback from NTT Communications. The individual will be required to conduct testing in a lab and evaluate the technology from the perspective of applicability to a new service development. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Research forefront trends of IT technology, products and services in given fields, including distributed computing/storages, virtualization, security (Email, Network, etc.), and mobile · Hands-on testing of systems and network equipment for an evaluation of the product sets · Benchmark the latest in servers and networking equipment on the market · Creating reports based on the research/hands-on evaluations · Any additional duties as assigned by manager REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineer, Information Science, or equivalent · 3-5 years of technical experience in the IP/Internet/Telecom industry · Applicants must possess technical experience with Server OS (Unix, Linux, Windows), Network (Cisco, Juniper), Security (Firewall, Anti-virus), and Windows Exchange Server, plus overall knowledge and hands-on experience with servers and network equipment · Knowledge of IT Security and Internet Service trends · A proven track record of success and excellent written and oral communication skills with people from various cultural and technical backgrounds is a must PREFERRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: · Experience working with vendors/service providers and connections with people and communities in Silicon Valley · Hands-on experience in dealing with server-client systems and network equipment
