Vista Research and Management (VRM) is the investment advisor to the Listed Private Equity Plus mutual fund (Ticker: LPEAX). LPEAX is the first actively managed mutual fund in the US to permit mass affluent investors to participate in the private equity and venture capital asset class. As financial advisors and broker dealers continue to focus on ways to expose their clients to less correlated alternative assets, LPEAX maintains a "first mover" advantage and is well positioned to meet the needs of the financial advisor community.
VRM presently maintains selling group agreements with dealers including but not limited to Linsco Private Ledger (LPL), RBC Dain Rauscher, Wells Fargo Wealth Management, Raymond James Financial, First Allied, Stifel Nicolaus, Charles Schwab Institutional, TD Ameritrade and Fidelity Institutional. LPEAX is currently the only available option in these networks for financial advisors seeking access to private equity for their non-accredited clients. The Fund also represents the only option for exposure to private equity in 401(k) retirement plans.
Job Responsibilities:
Wholesalers will be expected to:
* Thoroughly understand the Fund, (and additional products that are in development) and effectively communicate its positioning, benefits and features
* Aggressively arrange on-site office meetings with financial advisors
* Prospect for new business telephonically
* Utilize VRM's existing relationships at the broker/dealer home offices to increase sales within the territory
* Meet and exceed production goals
Candidates must have an entrepreneurial drive to leverage their industry contacts in order to build and service their territory.
Candidate Requirements:
B.A./B.S. or equivalent experience.
Series 6 and 63 licenses.
Financial services sales or relationship management experience.
Knowledge of advisor sold investment products including alternative investment offerings is preferred.
Compensation:
Wholesalers will be independent contractors with the exclusive right to represent the Fund(s) in their territory. Compensation is 100% commission-based with a payout rate more than twice mutual fund industry standards. Additionally, incremental incentives are awarded annually for surpassing territory asset generation objectives.
