Position : Digital Engineering Manager

Description :

Aethercomm designs and manufactures high power RF and microwave amplifiers for use in CW and pulsed applications. Aethercomm covers the frequency range from DC to 40 GHz. Aethercomm products are used in radar systems, electronic warfare systems, communication systems and test and measurement applications. Aethercomm also designs and manufactures transmitters, transceivers and RF/microwave subsystems and systems. Aethercomm's design and manufacturing facilities are located in San Marcos, CA in San Diego County.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Digital Engineering Manager. In this position, you will direct a small group of Electrical Engineers. Also, participate in the full development cycle from conception to final testing of signal processing and data acquisition PCB cards. Specifically, gather requirements and contribute to the design of circuit boards, implement high speed parallel processing, Xilinx FPGA development using VHDL, Xilinx System Generator, and Xilinx Integrated Software Environment (ISE). Develop embedded DSP applications utilizing FIR filters and FFT modules, develop and evaluate testing methodologies, and test prototype to verify performance consistent with established specifications. You will help drive technology into products and keep engineers aware of relevant new technology.

This position will be responsible for proof of concept and design changes using MATLAB and Simulink. Develop signal-processing design to increase amplifier linearization for the project. Develop algorithm to improve the performance of the system. Develop software design, including specification, analysis, design, implementation coding, interface development, debugging, testing, documentation and support. Support hardware in making design needed for analog filtering, noise reduction, lower power consumption, control unit design, software interface, chip evaluation, testing unit design. Design test equipments and user interfaces for raw data collection, production testing which will assist algorithm development, performance testing and maintain databases.

A Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university in the electronics or computer engineering, and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree and 3 years of related experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to work with suppliers and other staff members. Candidates must be motivated team players. US Citizenship required.
