This position will begin around mid-Fall 2006.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as consultant on large implementations, as well as rolling up information to both client and project managers.
Drive revenue and client success by selling consulting services back into clients.
Be able to analyze and discuss solutions for client's requirements, with regards to 3rd party applications and use of Advent data outside of Advent products.
Conduct client site implementations of Advent's products, including software installation, setup and hands-on training.
Analyze customer's business and technical requirements. Design and implement appropriate solutions. Craft and enhance client workflows.
Configure and automate products to best serve client's procedures.
Frequent domestic travel to clients. Travel is estimated at 70% of time. Average length of consulting engagement is three days. Average travel schedule is eight customers per month.
Manage time to maximize agenda and deliver on critical components.
Execute on planned visits building client satisfaction and revenue for the consulting organization.
Effectively present value to client for cost of service delivered.
Qualifications Requirements
3 or more years experience in the portfolio management or trading industry is preferred.
Prior consulting experience with interaction with more than one contact at client site is preferred.
Back office workflow and operations experience is highly preferred.
Intermediate knowledge in Windows, Excel, SQL, and the administration of Windows and network are required. Demonstrated technical aptitude is required
Strong candidates would have a Working knowledge of Advent's Axys and Moxy products. Microsoft Windows/NT, SQL, and MS Access skills are highly preferred.
International securities experience is preferred.
CFA coursework is preferred
Series 7, 63 are a plus.
Strong communication skills are required.
Ability to gain credibility quickly while on-site is essential.
Ability to be self-directed and work independently is required.
Attention to detail is required.
Ability to bring a project to completion is required.
Must be mindful of time and budget constraints.
