Position : Technical Consultant - Business Intelligence / 3rd Party Reporting

Description :

Position Summary This position is responsible for performing implementation work for Business Intelligence, 3 rd party reporting tools, and related software in conjunction with ProSight Portfolios and other enterprise systems as data sources at customer sites, which includes: Assist in understanding and defining customer requirements, relating them to the software, deployment and configuration of these products, defining processes for use with this software, and making best practice recommendations for customer implementation of solution. Responsibilities include requirements definition and documentation; creation of the logical and physical configuration; training clients on usage of the software. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or otherwise presently authorized to work full-time in the U.S. Employer will not sponsor visas. No contractors or consultants. Typical Duties · Participate in the creation of professional services Statements Of Work (SOWs) · Customer requirements definition and documentation · Design business intelligence processes to analyze enterprise data that enhances business processes and decision-making. · Build, deploy, and maintain data support tools, metadata inventories, and definitions for database file/table. · Create business intelligence architectures, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies. · Identify business requirements, business rules for data, success criteria, and business intelligence objectives. · Analyze source data, its applicability in solving business problems, and its quality (compliance to business rules). · Create or update data definitions for databases (tables and/or indexes). · Design, develop, and deploy business intelligence applications to meet clients' business requirements. · Integrate business intelligence applications with existing systems. · Provide and apply quality assurance best practices for business intelligence services. · Assist in the development of data management policies and procedures. · Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for new or modified business intelligence processes. · Develop analytical processes and training for end-users, facilitating best practices-based use of business intelligence tools. · Conduct research and make recommendations on business intelligence products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts. · Collaborate with database and disaster recovery administrators to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets. · Monitor business intelligence system details within databases, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements. · Respond to and resolve business intelligence performance issues.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of industry work experience. In addition, candidate should have:
3 years of business intelligence analytics and process development experience in a data warehousing environment.
2+ recent years of experience using Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Cognos, Brio, or similar business intelligence products.
Analyze data models and data warehouse database designs to determine data access and organization requirements.
Experience with dashboards, performance management, workforce analytics, and/or reporting systems for senior executives is a plus.
Technical experience with relational database servers such as Oracle and SQL Server
Experience with web-based applications in the MS Windows 2003 Server environment
Technical capabilities in taking requirements and configuring package software to meet customer requirements.
Proven experience working with high-level customers to lead requirements sessions, design software solution to meet requirements, lead customer and team through testing, and structuring and delivering process/solution and software training
Ability to structure, write, and deliver key project deliverables, including Requirements Documentation, Design Documents, Test Plans, Test Results, Presentations.
Ability to work & interface independently in customer environment and to potentially lead and deliver as sole consultant.
Training experience from delivering system admin training to configuration training
Ability to work independently in special project assignments

Education
· Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related discipline required
