6 Blue is the Interventional Telemetry unit. The pace on this unit is fast as patients only stay around 36-48 hours. Average patient load is 4 patients for each RN. Patients on this unit are pre and post cardiac catherizations. Post cardiac catherizations may be on some cardiac drips or have a femoral sheath in place. This a great unit for someone who is interested in moving to the Cardiac Catherization Lab or CCU in the future.
Ideal candidates can work in a fast paced environment and have a love of cardiac nursing.
