Provide strategic planning for CTB Marketing and Sales, including securing, monitoring, and expanding multiple, large, complex, state-level contracts within a given region. Lead an interdepartmental team in preparing proposals that are creative, responsive, and competitive. Negotiate contract terms and oversee signing and implementation of contracts. Oversee contract implementation and devise strategies for expansion of existing contracts. Manage and coordinate interdepartmental activities required to perform throughout the term of the contract. Responsible for contract amendments and negotiating contract change forms with cost implications. Provide division management with market intelligence, trend information, and potential market needs through informal market research, high level contacts, professional conference attendance, and extensive field contacts.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree required.

Experience in proposal production, contract management, relationship management and marketing highly desirable.

Outstanding management abilities required, including the ability to solve complex conceptual and project implementation problems, ability to cost and set competitive prices, negotiation strategies, team-building skills and planning ability.

Requires strong organizational skills, leadership, and effective communication with customers and across all CTB departments.

Excellent written and communication skills.

Must have experience in writing and editing proposals and correspondence to high-level state department personnel.

Must be able to plan, direct, and deliver sales presentations to high-level state department personnel and assessment experts.

Demonstrated leadership in motivating interdepartmental teams and providing liaison to the customer.

Experience interpreting costs and pricing large-scale projects necessary.

Skill in estimating competitors' strategies and costs so that bids can be priced competitively and profitably.

Ability to track revenue dollars and provide projections on a regular basis.

Must possess strong customer-relations skills and demonstrated ability to foster positive, long-term customer relationships.

Significant experience in industry and credibility with internal and external contacts.

Skill in presenting to groups, both internal and external, negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, and management skills.

Continuously works to improve CTB's image with new and existing customers and to position CTB for revenue opportunities.

Demanding position that requires ability to cope with multiple activities at the same time.

Must be able to travel.

Preferred

Advanced degree in education/educational assessment, business administration or related field strongly preferred.

Two to five years experience highly preferred in the educational assessment market or in educational testing.
