Responsible for the periodic accounting process and other general accounting responsibilities to include reconciliations and internal oversight/approvals thar are required within the Accounting and Treasury Services section. Responsible for fixed asset accounting and working with other groups to ensure that assets are accounted for properly.Review and approve Accounts Payable/Purchasing source transactions.Track and post accruals, prepaids and other adjusting journals.Perform general ledger reconciliations including reconciling bank statements.Perform routine and ad hoc financial reporting.
Handle 1099 issuance and consumer use tax filings.
Provide excellent customer service to all levels of internal and external customers.Handle administration of Board of Trustees fees and retainers. Provide audit support for internal and external audits. Experience: 4 years of solid accounting experience and an understanding of the contracting environment.
Skills: Experience with Costpoint accounting software is a plus), Microsoft Office, especially Excel; 10-key.
