The Wright Group, a division of McGraw-Hill Education, has an immediate opening for an Editorial Assistant to work on a project basis. The position will be located in our downtown Chicago office.
Responsibilities:
Edit educational materials, both print and technology, according to editorial guidelines.
Follow provided schedule and complete tasks on time.
Check correlations of content to state standards.
Check materials for accuracy, content, and style.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, education, or a related field
Command of elementary and high-school level mathematics, up to and including advanced algebra
Some editorial experience and/or classroom teaching experience;
Outstanding communication skills and knowledge of English grammar
Attention to detail required
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong problem solving abilities required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment
Desired:
Knowledge of InCopy/K4 a plus
Knowledge of Spanish a plus
