The School Solutions Group of McGraw-Hill Education has an immediate opening for an Associate Production Editor, in our Science Department, to work in house on a project basis.at our Polaris location in Columbus, OH.
Responsibilities:
Edit manuscript for content, accuracy, reading level, grammar, style and length
Identify problem areas in content and recommend solutions
Maintain and meet all intermediate and final schedules and inform production supervisor or project editor if circumstances prevent meeting deadlines
Work closely with production, design, manufacturing and marketing to ensure that market requirements and project schedules are met.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English or related field
Must have strong English language skills
Must have excellent interpersonal and time-management skills
Must have strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office product including Word and Excel is required
