John Deere Parts Distribution is seeking a Department Coordinator to coordinate work flow between multiple departments through picking and loading to insure timely and complete shipments to destinations, and reduce occurrences of non-shipped parcels and shipping errors. In this position, you will:

Coordinate/communicate with, and/or give direction to, unit wage and salaried employees (including supervisors), outside contractors (consolidators, carriers, dispatchers and truck drivers) and Deere dealers/customers to insure all emergency orders are processed and shipped on time.
Monitor the progress of picking, packing and staging in all departments using Deere Production Systems and knowledge of processes.
Analyze and resolve problems, issues, discrepancies and questions to ensure coordinated and complete shipment of parcels.
Provide appropriate communication and direction to employees to resolve issues.
Ensure proper loading techniques to minimize damage.
Prepare and send various reports related to emergency shipments.
Track and review changes in ISPM15 international regulations. This requires maintaining a spread sheet to identify various country regulations and insuring that all parcels meet the requirements for specific countries. Insures fumigation processes are correct, debarking is being performed as required and recreating is performed when necessary.
Record and distribute data on number of Export emergency lines shipped and provide data for any missed lines.
Perform quarterly audit of parcels in Export storage racks. This is a floor to file audit that is reviewed with the Export Logistics group. Also, performs individual audits as need by the Export Logistics group.
Work with Export Logistics group to identify parcels and orders that need to be restocked into DY00 inventory.
Monitor and order supplies related to preparation and shipping of Export Emergency and Export Stock orders.


Education



Bachelor’s degree in a Business related discipline highly preferred or equivalent education and work experience.
Required Skills and Experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel from wage to salaried employees, including management.
Prior experience with warehouse picking, shipping, Domestic and Export transport processes.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.




Desired Skills and Experience

Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping and regulations.
Knowledge of shipping requirements and regulations for export materials.
Excellent knowledge of the Deere Production Systems (WCS and DNS) as they relate to both inbound and outbound processes.
