United Way of King County is seeking a talented individual to join our Workplace Giving team as Team Assistant. This position is responsible for supporting the work of the Workplace Giving staff in the accomplishment of team goals and objectives. Responsible for receiving, processing, and keeping records of all dollars received by one or more campaign team. Supports and works with loaned executives assigned to campaign teams. Works with specific assigned Resource Development Officer(s), and cooperatively with other members of the team. Duties include; Typing correspondence, reports, schedules, and statistical data using PC applications of Word, Excel and Access.
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills; Type accurately at 55 WPM; be highly proficient in PC-based applications (Word, Excel and Access); must be able to handle pressure with attention to detail and able to work cooperatively with others in a team environment; and able to work independently and take initiative to complete complex projects without intensive instruction. Must have a High school diploma or equivalent certification supplemented by completion of an advanced course in secretarial science or related field and three year’s office experience in a fast paced multi-task environment.
