We are in search of a passionate, articulate, and exceptional STATE SALES MANAGER . Position is accountable for insuring effective sales and marketing programs for District Shelf Sales throughout the state, establishing, implementing, and managing all shelf sales activities. Reports to District Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
MUST achieve projected state revenue goals by expanding existing accounts and securing new business
Provide leadership to state’s Evaluation Consultants, Senior Evaluation Consultants, Sales Support personnel through training, directing, managing and mentoring
Create opportunities for planning, negotiating, and interacting with California districts’ high level personnel
Acting state liaison with Programs and other internal teams
Direct and coordinate cross departmental activities
Heavy networking through various professional venues to obtain market intelligence, trend information, and potential market needs for territory development
Develops long-term state marketing plans with District Manager
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred
Proven track record in applying successful sales methodologies resulting in achieving or exceeding revenue goals within an assigned territory.
MUST have managed minimum $2M territory!
MUST have knowledge and experience in the educational tests market and in educational research, development, publishing, scoring, reporting, and bow test information relating to instructional process
Ability to create responsive and effective sales and marketing plans communicating knowledge with state departments of education and major school districts
Skill in estimating competitor strengths and weaknesses, plans and strategies
Solid negotiation, presentation and interpersonal relations skills
Experience in the form of teaching or educational administrative practices
