Job Description:
The Creative Services department is seeking a Summer 2008 Creative Services Intern.
The Advertising.com Creative Services team is an internal creative specialty shop that not only brainstorms and concepts the most often seen ads on the web, but also plays a key role as a leader in online advertising industry innovation.
Interns will learn how to become part of multi-media creative team. Interns can expect to get hands on experience, be ready to immerse themselves to the elbows in code, and as a result have a lot of fun. We are structuring our intern program to provide interns with a comprehensive experience and portfolio pieces that demonstrate learning about the role of design as part of a rapidly growing industry leader.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Use current multi-media software applications (Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks on occasion) to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Creative Services Department
* Resize Banners
* Participate in photo/industry research
* Participate in the campaign creative process (creative brief, brainstorming sessions, design, and production build-out)
* Work with the Lead Flash Designer, Creative Director/Copywriter, and Project Manager to learn how to apply art school knowledge.
* Other duties and responsibilities as needed
Skills:
* Creative & Responsible
* Technically Capable
* Online portfolio required
* Candidates may be asked to take a test to validate their skills
Education & Experience:
* Enrolled in a design related major: graphic design, interactive design, web design, animation, and visual communication design
Schedule:
* Summer Internship will start in June 2008
* Must be able to commit at least 20 hrs/wk
