John Deere Agriculture Equipment is seeking a Module Leader to supervise semi to highly skilled production and/or maintenance employees on an assigned shift to ensure the manufacture of products within established delivery, quality, safety and cost standards. In this position, you will:
Supervise an assembly line, welding department or warehouse employees.
Work with production schedules to get parts out on time.
Ensure safety procedures and UAW contract language is followed.
Manage manpower levels.
Work with wage incentive pay systems (CIPP) and continuous improvement (CI) to ensure teams meet safety, efficiency, delivery, and linearity goals.
Education
4 year degree in Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Demonstrated leadership supervising union employees.
Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes.
Understanding of production systems (i.e.: Lean Manufacturing, Just-in- Time, Kanban, Demand Flow Technology).
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience with a labor contract.
Experience with sheet metal fabrication, welding, machining and paint.
Experience with warehouse operations.
Experience with manpower planning and production schedules.
