HSMM is searching for anArchitect 3 to:
Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of, intern architects, designers and CAD technicians.
Perform specific project building design and development tasks, including programming, design, reports, drawings, calculations, cost estimates, and specifications.
Respond to client questions and comments, review contractor submittals, and provide clarifications during construction.
Adhere to accepted industry and company standards.
Plan, schedule, conduct, coordination and, in a supervisory capacity, direct the development of architectural project requirements.
Review and understand drawings prepared by other disciplines and communicate with those disciplines to ensure project documents are completely coordinated.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Professional degree in Architecture (MARCH or BARCH).
5 years experience as a registered architect with an architectural firm designing commercial and institutional buildings and producing contract documents.
Experienced in producing contract documents for USACE, NAVFAC or GSA
Experienced in the charrette process of design with clients.
Experience with the Savannah District Corp of Engineers and or Mobil District or with NAVFAC Jacksonville desirable.
Registered architect in any state, and NCARB Certified.
Must have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the architectural and engineering industry, including Federal, State, and local laws, codes and regulations that pertain to the industry.
Ability to develop functional requirements and project-design criteria for wide variety of building types and design complexities, with ability to work in all phases of a project’s development including large and/or complex projects.
Limited travel as required to meet training and project requirements.
Strong oral and written communications skills, graphic skills, and design ability.
LEED Certification is desirable.
Working knowledge of MicroStation. Knowledge of AutoCAD is desirable.
Working knowledge of Sketch up, Adobe Suite, and/or Revit is desirable.
Experience in using Outlook and Microsoft Office (or similar software),
