Description :


Experience:
• Outstanding spoken and written English;
• 5 – 8 years of field sales and marketing experience in the healthcare industry (preferably "surgeon choice" medical devices);

• Orientation towards understanding the technology behind surgical innovations and their "context of use" in the operating room;

• Demonstrated track record of new product launches;

• Knowledge of and experience at one or more of the following surgical disciplines:

Neuro- and spinal surgery;
Cardiac and vascular surgery;
Orthopedic and trauma surgery;
General and gastro-intestinal surgery;
Gynecologic surgery;
Urologic surgery; and
Ear, nose and throat surgery.

• Experience gaining health care pay or reimbursement for a novel medical technology / technique;

• Experience in managing professionals and the desire to assume additional management responsibility over time

Skills:

Willingness to travel extensively internationally;
Excellent communications / presentation skills and the ability to adapt them to local market conditions;
solid financial analysis skills and the capacity to evaluate new technologies and products from a business development perspective;
Passion for the conception and marketing of new technologies / techniques which change surgical practice;
Responsibilities:

Develop and be held accountable for the successful execution of global marketing plans for FloSeal in two or more potential surgical specialties "of interest" (orthopedic and trauma surgery, cardiac / vascular surgery, gynecologic surgery, urologic surgery, general and gastro-intestinal surgery, and neuro- / spinal surgery); These global plans for surgical specialties of interest will provide guidance to BioSurgery in-country sales and marketing teams worldwide enabling them to maximize FloSeal’s long-term revenues and profits at the country level. This global marketing guidance will include segmentation, targeting and positioning analyses, key messages to drive publication planning and foundation information for sales tools for each phase of the customer adoption process (including international congress recommendations);
Plan and execute – in collaboration with Project Management – the introduction of FloSeal and other additions to the Hemostasis product portfolio to new markets worldwide;
Provide "marketing insight" as needed to Clinical Affairs to optimize clinical development plans for FloSeal and other additions to the Hemostasis product portfolio worldwide;
Conceive and supervise the implementation of innovations to FloSeal to increase primary demand for the product and its differentiation from the competition;
Identify potential additions to the Hemostasis portfolio, which will strengthen BioSurgery’s competitive position over time and, as needed, work closely with Research and Development and / or Business Development, to assure their development or acquisition by BioSurgery; and
Develop and be held accountable for the successful execution of global marketing plans as needed for additions to the Hemostasis product portfolio.
Close collaboration with BioSurgery’s Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs and country-based Marketing and Sales teams;
Conception and conduct of market research on a global basis to support segmentation, targeting and positioning of FloSeal and other additions to the Hemostasis product portfolio;· close collaboration – together with Medical Affairs - with "key thought leaders" worldwide in the target specialties of interest to support FloSeal indication development plans and segmenting, targeting and positioning efforts;
Conception of and assistance in the execution of medical outcomes and economics studies to support the positioning of FloSeal and additional Hemostasis portfolio products in the specialties of interest;
Close collaboration with Research and Development and / or Business Development on the realization of additions to the Hemostasis portfolio; and
Collaboration with Global Marketing Communications and in-country marketing teams as needed to assure the translation of FloSeal "marketing insights" into effective sales tools for each phase of the customer adoption process.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required (MBA or equivalent highly desirable);
