ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Candidate will be part of the technical team and will help deploy, maintain, and debug the Web analytics tool. The position is primarily technical, but also requires understanding the relationship between the measurement code and the resulting metrics reports. Thus, some business acumen is useful. Specific activities include: modifying and creating JavaScript code to enable web site measurement; adjusting settings in the measurement tool; working with web site technical owners to implement measurement code on their sites; testing; running metrics reports to validate; documentation; training and communicating with business users of metrics tool.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintaining internal web sites; metrics reporting.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
JavaScript programming. Html and technical knowledge of how web sites and the internet works. Web publishing systems.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
Prior experience with web analytics tools, such as Omniture, Google Analytics, Web Trends, or similar reporting packages. Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision after clear direction and training is provided. Ability to multitask multiple projects. Emarketing and/or web design experience or interest.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 0-2
MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION: Pursuing a BS or MS degree. FIELD OF STUDY: Computer science, engineering, or Web marketing with technical ability.
