Explanation Statement
John Deere Parts Distribution Center, in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a Depot Warehouse Associate to perform clerical office duties, such as document processing, report preparation, and data retrieval and filing. In this position, you will:
Request and process all outbound paperwork for trucking lines, small parcel carriers, and will-call orders.
Work closely with dealer personnel, end-user customers, and carrier personnel, including contacting them for pickup and delivery needs and ordering issues.
Respond to technical or escalated issues that require immediate attention.
Request, schedule, batch and print packing lists, pick tickets and shipping labels from the warehouse computer system, to prepare orders for picking, packing and shipping.
Be responsible for ensuring all end of the day paperwork is properly processed and the warehouse shipping system is shutdown correctly.
Order supplies and maintain/monitor records regarding these expenses.
Rotate weekend duties to cover shipping/scheduling office.
Education
Miscellaneous degree or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Must work holidays and weekends.
Ability to use various computer applications and databases.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with dealers, customers, and supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong multi-tasking abilities.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective decision maker.
Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge of warehouse systems (JDPoint, DNS, and DBSS).
Data entry/keyboarding skills.
Experience in a clerical role.
