* Provide leadership to drive project execution with accountability for the results.
* Provide reviews of financial performance, project execution and schedule on an on-going basis.
* Provide leadership to identify and mitigate project risks.
* Provide leadership to assure that customer CTQ's are being met while building customer loyalty for repeat business and referrals.
* Provide leadership to deliver quality on projects through process improvements and utilization of Six Sigma tools.
* Provide leadership to drive use of digitization strategy for project control processes, software systems, and tools.
* Coach and train employees in project management and control procedures for the mix of projects while driving accountability for the results.
* Interface with the commercial and engineering functions to coordinate project development, implementation, and control, resulting in project volume and profitability.
* Effectively allocate the project management, project control and site management resources within and across the P&L's.
* Provide leadership for a limitless, creative, and productive working relationship with Commercial, Engineering, Sourcing, Finance, Legal, IT, Service, and Sales teams.
* Work in close cooperation with other Project Control Managers to ensure common processes, systems, and tools are used to drive consistent Six Sigma project execution.
* Provide leadership to assure compliance with EHS requirements.
* Work in safe manner and ensure appropriate training is taken to do tasks safely.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineer or Technical Field.
* 10+ years of experience in managing projects, and/or project engineering.
Desired
* General knowledge of marketing strategies.
* Proficient in project management tools and procedures, strong people management and conflict resolution skills.
* Extensive Utility, Power Generation, and Automation knowledge/ experience in multiple industries.
* Strong knowledge of business, finance, and administrative procedures.
* Demonstrated creativity in solving problems, effectiveness in organization and communication skills, ability to lead in multifunctional team environments.
* Develop, execute, and coach others to achieve individual and team priorities.
* Ability to apply advanced aspects of technical/engineering area to practical business problems; ability to develop and implement managerial and leadership concepts and techniques (plan, execute, direct, coach, mentor, evaluate, control); ability to lead multiple long and short term projects simultaneously; strong administration, planning and negotiating skills; demonstrated mentoring skills.
* Proficient in latest PC technology (MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint).
