Posted: Mar 13, 2008 Responsibilities

* Drive profitable growth for GE Energy Environmental Services in the Southwestern part of the Southern Sales Region.

* Product line responsibilities to include:

- Boiler Emissions & Performance.

- Emissions monitoring and testing.

* Lead generation, opportunity identification and tracking in Customer Management System (CMS).

* Development of transactional and contractual sales strategies, and order closure.

* Develop and implement account strategies for environmental products and services in conjunction with other members of the P&L and Energy Services field sales teams.

* Participation in regional/local customer teams to drive enterprise solutions through At the Customer / For the Customer (ACFC), Cross-Business Lead Sharing, and other GE Initiatives.

* Provide feedback regarding market trends, customer CTQ's (Critical to Quality) and unmet/emerging needs, competitive data, pricing, and other information that will support orders and margin growth.

* Key metrics will include:

- Performance relative to assigned Orders & Convertible Orders Operating Plan.

- Sales & margin growth.

- Orders forecasting and CMS accuracy.

- Customer centricity.

- Support of other regional and GE initiatives.

- Management of T&L (travel & living) and other expenses.
Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline.

* Minimum of 5 years in sales related to Energy industries and/or products.

Desired

* MBA degree.

* Strong working knowledge of Emissions Monitoring Systems, Data Acquisition and Handling Systems, and Environmental Air Quality Regulations.

* Practical understanding of: current/emerging environmental requirements of the power generation and/or industrial markets; power plant operations, maintenance, and economics; and customer financial drivers and needs.

* Strong communication skills and confidence with management level presentations.

* Strong interpersonal, team building, and negotiation skills; ability to work with colleagues and customers at all levels of the organizations.

* GB or BB certified (GE employees only).

* Field engineering/field services experience.

* Ability and willingness to travel within the Region.
