As a Brokerage Tax Reporting Manager you will:
- Maintain appropriate tax policies, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws.
- Lead and manage your team: set goals and standards, train and mentor, evaluate performance, and oversee daily operations.
- Research tax treatments and interpret new rulings and proposed regulations and their effect on VBS' business and reporting structure.
- Control all decisions and manage issues affecting VBS tax accounting and reporting, such as tax compliance; tax risk management; and planning/implementing tax strategies for federal, international, state and local tax reporting.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- CPA designation or Masters in Taxation degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of Tax Reporting experience, including at least 2 years of management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct complex tax research using various sources including BNA, RIA, West-Law, etc.
- Strong knowledge of the brokerage industry.
- Series 7 and 63, or the ability to obtain within 3 months of hire. Series 24, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
