Posting Job Description This position is a unique development/operations opportunity for a college level student interested in utilizing what they have learned in college and applying it to a real world setting. The position is geared for a junior level Computer Science major who would like to develop their programming and analysis skills in the following areas: Linux, Java, MySQL, Apache, Tomcat.
The intern would help build Search Engine Optimization tools that help AOL product managers and engineers understand and increase the traffic to their web sites from search engines. The intern would be exposed to mission critical systems and work with open source technologies that are used by engineers throughout the computing industry. The intern would be given projects to work on over the course of the summer that would help the AOL SEO team achieve its yearly goals as well as invest in the career development of the intern candidates.
Prerequisites: Coursework in Computer Science.
