John Deere Dubuque Works is seeking a Supply Management Order Fulfillment Specialist to lead and/or support the Backhoe module in meeting Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) requirements/goals on product cost, schedule and quality for the unit. In this position, you will:
Maintain an ongoing relationship with assigned suppliers to monitor and improve supplier performance; measure the performance of the supplier and define corrective actions; may negotiate with suppliers in order to resolve short-term performance problems.
Responsible for quality, delivery, supplier performance and establishing appropriate material replenishment process.
Coordinate and lead efforts to address chronic supplier performance issues.
Drive continuous improvement in terms of performance and lowest total cost with the supply base utilizing Achieving Excellence process/criteria and other appropriate supply management tools.
Develop and execute inventory plans to achieve inventory/asset management and material flow goals; resolve shipping, receiving, invoicing and payment problems to ensure prompt and accurate payments to suppliers.
Lead continuous cost reduction/value improvement activity, focusing on Shareholder Value Added (SVA); develop and implement communication plans to key stakeholders.
Drive root cause corrective action for supplier quality and delivery issues via the Corrective Action Requests process.
Act as team lead for Tank and Sheet Metal Module Team.
Act as the Supply Management Backhoe module peer leader and be assigned special projects in support of Backhoe Module and SM initiatives.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business/Management, Engineering/Technology or Supply Management discipline or equivalent experience.
CPIM or CPM certification a plus.
Required Skills and Experience
Ability to manage supply chain in a fast paced and challenging production environment.
Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
Excellent interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
Knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Self motivated; possess initiative to seek additional responsibility.
Project management experience.
Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge of Common Purchasing System (CPS).
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
