We currently have an excellent opportunity for Marketing Manager, Specialty Sales . Summary of Responsibilities: Develops the marketing strategy for the Specialty Sales division with emphasis on audio/video and digital photography. Duties include creating and overseeing implementation of a marketing plan designed to increase market share and working with creative teams to develop effective campaigns. Requires marketing or events management background as well as strong communication and analytical skills. Event Management : Plans and manages events or trade shows for New Age Electronics. May work with outside vendors, including public relations, and internal marketing department to ensure successful participation in promotional functions. Duties include the coordination of logistics/transportation; identifying event locations; developing budgets; negotiating event contracts; securing products for display and promotional giveaways; overseeing set up and tear down of booths; ensuring availability of proper equipment and supplies; booking hotel or conference rooms; working closely with public relations agency to determine speaking opportunities; development and distribution of information to the internal trade show team pertaining to set up, event goals, logistics and other key event information; maintaining data integrity in database regarding attendee lists, lead entry; and responsible for keeping track of trade show payments and budget information. Ensures that all event executions consistently reflect New Ages’ branding and messaging. Must create and implement marketing strategies for signage, flyers, promotions, pre- and post-show email/mail communications. Collaborates with creative and sales staff to meet event deadlines. Determines the right product mix relevant for demonstration purposes at the event. In support of Marketing’s overall mission, emphasis will be placed on planning, executing and measuring the success of event marketing programs that include vendor-specific dealer conferences, national and regional tradeshows, other sales meetings, and more. Media Planning/Buying : Develops objectives and strategies for media buys and determines mix of advertising types used for campaigns. Negotiates with media sales representatives to buy and place advertising, calculates rates and budgets, and ensures that ads appear as specified. Print /Web Advertising : Creates and implements the advertising plans for trade publications. Manages the media schedule, selects product/vendor to represent and writes copy for print/online advertisements. Offers design and concept guidance to creative staff. Runs inventory and sales order reports for product selection and works with sales and merchandising for advertised pricing. Lead-Generation : Has a thorough understanding of direct marketing for both print and web channels. Possesses the expertise to assess sales needs and provide strategic recommendations. Negotiates with print and mail house representatives to produce postcards, letters and other promotional mailers. Negotiates with trade publications for mail/email list rental rates and manages all contract negotiations as they relate to lead-generation. Writes copy for e-mail/direct mail initiatives. Expertise with online marketing software programs and manages the content, creation, and distribution of e-mail campaigns, including tracking and analyzing campaign results. Promotions : Creates and implements promotional strategies through collaborative efforts with merchandising, sales, and vendor partners. Writes copy and works with creative staff to produce and distribute communications medium utilized to deliver the promotion. Submits proposals to vendor partners to gain funding. Collateral, Presentations and Business Communications : Plans, develops and implements brand strategies for collateral in support of the Specialty Sales division. Duties include developing and executing all stages of collateral. Also consults with sales and vendor representatives regarding product line trends and product features for new product launches. Edits copy to ensure proper grammar, spelling and style. Budget : Manages Specialty Sales marketing budget . Works with merchandising and finance to provide materials in support of co-op claims for vendors. Summary of Qualifications:
Ten years marketing or relevant experience
B.S. degree in Marketing/Communications or comparable work experience
Experience with trade shows or event planning
Budgeting and ROI analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, negotiation and organizational skills
Excellent time management skills
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and In Design a plus
