Explanation Statement
John Deere Des Moines Works is seeking a Supply Management Planner/John Deere Store Associate to order and maintain inventory and perform customer services duties within the JD Store, as well as schedule/expedite Indirect Materials for the factory. In this position, you will:
Handle the John Deere Store at the unit by attending to the customer's needs.
Analyze past due orders and follow-up with suppliers on delinquent orders.
Expedite orders as requested on a daily basis.
Order, receive, bar code and stock merchandise for the John Deere Store.
Maintain Supply Base information.
Prepare bank deposit for John Deere Store.
Coordinate special sales, events and special orders.
Sort and distribute Purchase Orders & Quotes.
Education
Associates degree in Business/Management or Supply Management or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience using desktop applications, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
General knowledge of factory processes and operations.
Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Work experience in a team environment.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience using a Common Purchasing System (CPS) or SAP.
Customer service experience in a retail environment.
Experience working with invoices, shipping/receiving, and/or purchase orders.
Experience in supply management, as a planner or buyer.
Indirect purchasing experience working with Maintenance Repair Orders (MRO).
