* Reporting to the Region Service Director.
* Responsible for the Power Services business including parts, repairs and field services for assigned territory.
* Coordinate delivery and support fulfillment to the joint venture operations in the respective country of territorial rights.
* Lead service engineering to accomplish effective support of transactional services customer service objectives.
* Drive field services fulfillment excellence, productivity and LEAN processes.
* Understand and help with performance issues (cycle, cost, etc.). Manage cost control, quality, and operations-oriented customer communications.
* Take lead in technical aspects of customer meetings, including TIL (Technical Information Letter) distribution and update post-implementation.
* Drive compliance to all Power Services operating metrics, methods and procedures and support tools such as ePC(eProject Control), FRMT (Field Resource Management Tool), FEPA (Field Engineer Performance Appraisal), Outage Tracker etc.
Pricing/Proposal
* Work with CSM/PG Specialists to get intelligence on backlog of repair projects and communicate with customer on project status.
* Assist commercial team on customer strategy. Provide job cost estimates, scope clarifications for commercial operations and proposal generation.
Financial Management/Forecasting
* Provide the Service Director and finance team with financial projections, quarterly estimating for sales & margin, resource estimates, and support and manage timely billing and receivables collection. Work with SD/CSM on pricing decisions within DOA guidelines.
* Provide timely and effective warranty management & administration services.
* Provide accurate and timely information to assigned personnel regarding salary planning, performance appraisals, career counseling, and disciplinary action as required.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 5+ years of field service engineering experience.
* 5+ years technical expereince of gas/steam turbine & controls experience.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
* You must be 18 years or older.
* You must have or be able to obtain a passport and driver's license and be able to travel.
* You must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process.
* You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the countries in which the position is located and in the U.S.
* If currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 12 months and have at least a satisfactory performance rating.
