RN, Unit Educator - Behavioral Health
The RN, Unit Educator is a registered professional nurse who, together with the Nurse Manager, is responsible for the daily assessment of clinical needs of patients, coordinating unit based orientation, and participating in improvement activities. The Unit Educator is an educational resource for all nursing staff.
Minimum of three years (3) experience in nursing. One year must be specific to the assigned unit. Current CA RN license. Current CPR. Enloe requires a current American Heart Association, Healthcare Provider (HCP) or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer CPR certification. PART or Secure training within one year of hire. Bachelor of Science in Nursing desired. Background in teaching and/or education desired. Certification in Mental Health/Psychiatric Nursing desired. Must have excellent critical thinking and analytical skills. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish a high degree of rapport and professional interaction. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times. Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, and sensitivity for the patient, family and staff in crisis. Must have the ability to coach, mentor and provide training to staff. Must have excellent organizational skills.
