We need a talented individual to fill the role of Assistant Warehouse Manager for New Age Electronics. In this position, you will follow operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current. Inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment. Position requires flex scheduling to oversee two shift operation. Prepare work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment. Confers with department supervisors and warehouse manager to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing. Directs salvage of damaged or used material. Manages staff; maintains safe and healthy work environment; complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
Qualifications:
Supervisory experience. WMS experience.
Successfully manages people to achieve performance goals. Excellent people management skills including resolving conflict, coaching and developing others, promoting teamwork, and performance management.
Track record of maintaining high-quality standards for the organization. Understands key process issues and makes sure process improvements happen.
Manages complexities and competing priorities. Coordinates information and activities among groups with differing agendas, across multi-functional areas.
Experience informing clients, superiors, peers, and direct reports based on their information needs.
Excellent people skills. Interacts effectively and works productively with a wide range of people.
Designs and manages processes to monitor progress and to maximize performance.
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
