Job Summary
This position is primarily accountable for managing production shift activities and coordinating safety initiatives. Follows GMP procedures and ensures shift employees do the same.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Comply with OSHA and company safety and hygiene standards
* Coordinate safety activities with all departments
* Implement Corporate Safety initiatives
* Train personnel on OSHA and Company safety requirements
* Communicate with other departments on a frequent basis
* Conduct daily meetings with employees prior to start of shift
* Review daily assignments to ensure customer requirements are met
* Review maintenance assignment requirements and coordinate priorities
* Perform routine maintenance adjustments and repairs
* Ensure personnel meet production schedules
* Ensure employees adhere and meet quality standards
* Write annual employee performance reviews
* Maintain accurate and up to date production documentation
* Maintain accurate personnel data: attendance, counseling, performance & other
* Provide accurate payroll data to proper personnel
* Take action to promote positive employee relations & ensure security of personnel
* Interview employment candidates
* Review customer orders and ensure products are timely shipped out
* Report Ethics issues to appropriate personnel
* Provide Leadership to direct reports in accordance with company core values
* Other duties as directed by Production Manager, Operations Manager or Plant Manager
Qualifications :
HS graduation required. AS degree is preferred.
3 years experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
High level knowledge of machinery and production systems.
Blow or Injection molding experience a plus.
