Explanation Statement
John Deere Harvester, in East Moline, IL, is seeking a Store Manager to manage the John Deere Harvester Works gift store including opening and closing, ordering, merchandising, and supervising retail employees. In this position, you will:
Create and execute the annual marketing and promotional plan for the gift store.
Create financial reports.
Handle bank deposits for the retail shop operation.
Open and close the facility.
Coordinate special sales, events and special orders.
Provide information for JD Purchase Orders.
Appropriately merchandise the retail store and plan/execute changes by season.
Order, receive, bar code and stock merchandise for the retail shop.
Provide work direction to contingent store staff (approx. 2-3 individuals).
Create work schedules and approve time cards for contingent workers.
Education
Associates degree or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Retail sales and management experience.
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Point of sale system experience.
Ability to work a flexible schedule when required to support operations.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience creating and executing marketing plans.
Experience with inventory management, financial reporting, and/or personnel management.
Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint.
