John Deere Parts Distribution Center is seeking a Supervisor to supervise warehouse employees in operations requiring semi-skilled to unskilled employees to ensure that the goals of the department and organization are achieved. In this position, you will:

Monitor, plan and provide general direction to attain desired performance results for both the customer and the business. These include productivity, quality, efficiency, safety, cycle time and customer service.
Continually monitor and analyze workloads due to changing business conditions.
Adjust workforce to meet these workloads effectively and efficiently.
Work with all daily contacts and support areas to attain agreeable and best solutions to problems and improvements.
Work with both salaried and wage reports to provide guidance, help remove roadblocks, provide feedback and support and assist them to achieve high level results and satisfaction.
Work with and promote the Continuous Improvement (CI) Grow process.



Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent supervisory experience.
Required Skills and Experience

Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills.
Proven leadership and team building skills to initiate action and solutions concerning employees and overall direction of department.
Ability to handle conflict and motivate other to perform at high levels.
Knowledge of Microsoft products including: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Desired Skills and Experience

2+ years experience in warehouse environment.
Ability to monitor, plan and provide general direction to attain desired performance results for both the customer and business. These include productivity, quality, efficiency, safety, cycle time and customer service.
Prior role in leadership or management experience in a union environment.
Experience in inventory management systems (Deere Systems preferred).
Familiarity with radio frequency equipment.
