Posting Job Description Advertising.com launched its international operations in late 2000 when it formed its majority-owned U.K. subsidiary. In 2002, the company expanded its international operations in Europe through the acquisition of Dayrates, an interactive marketing services company with operations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and the United Kingdom. In 2003, Advertising.com acquired the remaining minority interest in its U.K. subsidiary.
Today, Advertising.com International has operations in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Scandic; Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Spain and Finland in the pipeline. Despite the recent change to the Leadership in Europe, the business remains solid and operates the largest advertising network.
The company is looking for a Finnish Country Manager that will be responsible for the growth and success of this new and exciting business.
The prime objective of the new CM is to build the Finnish company to a size commensurate with its true potential.
The main responsibilities of the new Country Manager are:
* Build the Company to a leading position in the Finnish market
* Be fully P&L responsible for the Finnish company
* Manage and harness (take over) existing international contacts with Finnish clients
* Recruit a commercial team (current team made up of two sales people, one media sales rep, one financial accountant and currently recruiting a sales support person)
* Conduct contracts with external support agencies to run the business
* Aggressively Grow the top line sales
* Aggressively manage business to break-even within a pre-agreed time period
* Successfully co-ordinate and revert to EU HQ for support in building relative business
* In line with the company's pan-European strategies, the Country Manager will determine local strategies in order to achieve the company's long-term objectives. He/she will ensure implementation of these strategies through participative, yet decisive management.
* Finnish national with international exposure; degree/MBA educated

* Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial/management positions in online or internet related businesses
* Experience in providing leadership to an entrepreneurial, growing organisation or profit centre of a larger company in a rapidly changing environment, with a team of skilled professionals
* Responsibility for the profitability of an organisation
* Significant experience in driving top-line growth via the acquisition of new clients and the growth of existing clients
* Full and proven P&L responsibility; familiar with all elements which influence the total P&L
* High level selling skills, preferably in the online or internet industry with a proven track record
