John Deere Waterloo Works is seeking a 3 rd shift Supervisor to supervise warehouse and material handlers to ensure that the goals of the department and organization are achieved. In this position, you will:
Supervise warehouse and material handling employees on shop floor - D574 Warehouse and D150 Material Handlers/Linefill.
Ensure goals of the department and organization are achieved in safety, quality, cost and delivery.
Investigate, analyze and resolve various system, part, people or process issues to correct deficiencies, reduce costs, improve processes/performance.
Administer employee policies/procedures and work rules.
Provide work direction and monitors individual work performance and takes corrective action including discipline as needed.
Manage and control costs to stay within the department operating budget.
Establish employee environment regarding communications, feedback and overall guidance.
Ensure assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully perform their job duties.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with material flow and material replenishment.
Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience.
Ability to multi-task.
Good communication skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
Inventory Control experience.
Experience using SAP.
Experience with Kanban and other material delivery methods.
Experience with DPS (Deere Production System) or other formal production systems.
