Job Title Free Trade Agreement Analyst
External Job Description The Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Analyst will determine FTA eligibility and issue certificates. Analyst will review FTA rules of origin, costed bill of materials, and origin of products to determine FTA eligibility. Analyst must be willing to quickly learn US Customs Regulations for tariff classification, rules of origin, and value calculation. Analyst will produce the due diligence required to create the certificate and record the certificate in accordance with Customs recordkeeping regulations. Analyst will communicate and work closely with the accounting staffs of sister plants, the Customs & Trade Compliance department, and customs broker.
Candidate must possess excellent organization, analytical, and communication skills. Candidate will be required to learn and follow Customs and FTA regulations. Candidate must be able to work independently and analyze diverse data to complete eligibility analysis. Candidate must communicate effectively with internal customers.
Skills/Experience Education/Certification Requirements: Willingness to learn quickly. Minimum of four years of relevant accounting/finance, material management, or compliance related experience. A B.S. or B.A. degree is preferred. Intermediate Proficiency with Excel, Internet Explorer, and Word is required.
