Job Title Global Distribution Analyst
External Job Description The Global Distribution Analyst will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the domestic and international distribution network.
These responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- The generation of Stock Transfer Orders (STO) from Hospira manufacturing sites into the International Consolidation Warehouse (ICW) and US Distribution Centers for International movement. This includes:
a) Creating the STO and monitoring progress until it received at destination.
b) The analysis and implementation of process improvements that will ensure the timely delivery of finished goods coincides with the established transport schedule for outbound international movements of those goods.
- The creation and distributing of shipment documentation utilized by Hospira - Canada and Canadian Customs for importation of finished goods into Canada from Battleboro, NC, Austin, TX, Pleasant Prairie, WI and Morgan Hill, CA.
a) This includes interaction with personnel from those sites, Hospira - Canada, the Canadian Customs broker, along with Truckload (TL) and Less than Truckload (LTL) carriers.
- Supporting the creation of Stock Transfer Orders for international distribution from US sites when needed.
- Participation in new product launches, trouble shooting and problem solving.
Skills/Experience Education/Certification B.S. degree required. This candidate must be a self starter, proactive, aggressive, and flexible and require minimal supervision. This candidate will be required to interface with all levels of management in Distribution Operations, Transportation Operations, Financial Accounting, Customer Service and Quality Assurance.
Backgrounds in Transportation, Warehousing, customer service and SAP experience are preferred.
- Must possess a high degree of human relation skills to interface with a broad range of Hospira employees and public warehouse personnel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.
- Knowledgeable on the SAP operating systems a plus.
- Must possess high level of integrity and confidentially.
- Bi-lingual helpful but not required.
- Experience in Distribution Operations, Customer Service and transportation important.
- Must be flexible with work hours when dealing with international sites.
