Position Description
Chief of Safety, provides Executive Flight Operations with guidance and leadership on aviation safety matters. Develops and approves new or existing EFO safety policies and procedures. Provides information, training and specialized technical services to Executive Flight Operations to enhance flight operation efficiency. Coordinates and consults with cross-functional teams during accident/incident investigations. Researches, documents and coordinates approval and publication of procedures and techniques for EFO flight operations and ground safety. Serves as a consultant to EFO management and other industry professionals. Advises, coaches and mentors EFO Pilots, Ground and Administrative Personnel on safety related issues. Additionally, the Chief of Safety will be responsible for all safety areas within the department including OSHA, IS-BAO, FAA, DOT, JAA, ICAO, Boeing PRO, Boeing EHS and EFO Standard Operating Procedures

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree and typically 9 to 13 years' related work experience or a Master's degree with 7 to 11 years' related work experience or a PhD degree with 4 to 8 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Job related information
Job requires previous pilot experience in turbine powered aircraft and background specializing in flight safety. Certificate in Safety Management Systems from an accredited school is required. Two years experience working as a safety representative in flight operations environment. A background in environmental health and safety a plus.
