Position Description
US person status required. Member of 40+ person project team developing multi-tiered, web-based collection planning and analysis software for U.S. government. Provide systems engineering knowledge and expertise during all life-cycle phases, from requirements analysis and specification development to software application testing and deployment. Apply systems engineering knowledge and expertise to solve technical and non-technical issues between project software engineers and external organizations, such as the customer program office, end users, interface contractors, and the deployment site. Create necessary supporting documentation. Provide integration, system, beta, and enterprise testing support. Work independently with minimum direct supervision to complete assigned tasks. Learn and apply CMMi processes General Description: Works independently. Plans research and development programs and exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives. Ensures application of best practices and identifies the need for enhanced processes, methods, and tools. Translates contract requirements into work requirements, processes, and tasks. Plans, schedules, and leads others to produce technical work responsive to customer needs within allocated budgets. Contacts customers, teaming partners, subcontractors, and suppliers to exchange technical data and to discuss project performance. Manages customer and supplier relationships and participates in development of fundamental approaches to projects and of requirements for implementation.
