Windows Mobile is a great platform for building phones that meet the needs of the business user, but what new compelling phones should we build that will attract new mobile phone users? There is an untapped opportunity to build complete phones including both software and hardware design that showcase the best Microsoft applications and services. Our team's charter is to figure out what software and hardware is needed in these phones to develop great user experiences and make these devices a reality. We will work directly with the top Windows Mobile OEM and Mobile Operator partners to design both the hardware and software for brand new Smartphone devices based on unique end-to-end Microsoft propositions tailored for the mobile user.
We are seeking a strong SDET to plan and build a test framework that ensures we ship the highest quality next generation phones built on top of the Windows Mobile platform. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building high quality mobile devices, audio/video technologies, designing and architecting system level test plans and solid software design and development skills. Candidates should have end-to-end scenario testing experience demonstrated by shipping high quality products through multiple release cycles.
Qualified candidates should have strong manual and automated testing ability, good communication skills, a minimum of 1 year experience testing and shipping Microsoft products and at least 2+ years in-depth use and knowledge of object oriented programming and/or C#. Experience in mobile phone, consumer electronics or embedded system testing is a plus. Experience working with OEMs/ODMs partners is helpful.
