We are currently building a team that can develop the next generation of Zune devices through a process of rapid innovation, technical brilliance and collaboration across disciplines. The qualified candidate will draw upon their Engineering experience in System Design, Algorithm Development/Implementation and Firmware/Driver Development to deliver world class high volume consumer products. The candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design and implementation of high volume, consumer-oriented microprocessor based platforms. This includes establishing specifications, implementing architectures, identifying and working with development partners, developing and eventually the final manufacturing ready design. The candidate will be part of the team that delivers low-level software including drivers for core components as well as work with the hardware design and architecture.
Requirements:
· BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
· Understanding of computer architecture
· Experience with system design and integration
· 3+ years of low level OS and driver development experience
· Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging ARM based platforms, scopes, logic analyzers etc.
Desirables:
· Experience with I/O buses, peripherals and power management
· Experience with audio/video design (hardware and drivers)
· Board support package (BSP) experience
· Assembly language (ARM)
