We are looking for an ambitious, talented SDET to work on a team responsible for securing our mobile devices, potentially delivering security features into the enterprise mobility space, testing the mobile core OS security APIs, and performing fuzz/penetration testing. Specific responsibilities will include
- Evaluating features against the platform security model through threat modeling and pentesting.
- Identifying vulnerable or risky features product wide, in development or already shipped. Work with the tech teams to establish mitigations and fixes for these problems and drive expertise into their test teams. Help other teams prioritize security issues correctly.
- Building up our product-wide security toolset. This involves writing new tools to investigate mobile-specific threats and porting/adapting existing desktop security tools.
- Aggressively building up the security expertise of the security test team through mentoring and teaching.
This position requires experience evaluating threat models and, analyzing C/C++ code, verbal and written communication skills, influencing across org boundaries, a minimum of 4 years experience in testing commercial software, and the passion and drive to ship high quality products on time. Expertise in C/C++ coding is very useful. Experience with mobile devices, Pocket PC, Smartphone, security principles and secure coding/security code reviewing would be a big plus. A BA/BS in Computer Science or related engineering discipline is preferred.
