Are you interested in playing an important role in the success of Microsoft's video game business? Do you want an opportunity to work on a dynamic team that plays an integral role in key business decisions? If so, the Global Publishing's finance and business development team needs a highly motivated professional for its video games business. The Global Publishing group focuses on distribution and publishing of games by external video game publishers (e.g., Electronic Arts, Activision, Take-Two, etc.) and is a central profit engine for the entire Xbox initiative. In this challenging role, you will have the opportunity to work will multiple levels of management and various functional groups within the Xbox business, including business development, account management and marketing. This position provides meaningful opportunities for growth, impacts business performance, and provides work in a progressive department that plays an integral role in key business decisions.

Responsibilities include:

Developing best practices in video game business insight and analysis for the benefit of all IEB video game initiatives, for example, analyzing franchise performance, forecasting sales, tracking the industry players and trends.
Working with cross-functional teams to analyze market opportunities, design business models and create strategies for new lines of game-related businesses that will generate incremental revenue and margin for Xbox 360.
Participating on cross collaboration teams to assist in business plans regarding future game initiatives by providing insightful business modeling and analysis
Working closely with account management, regional operating centers, and LCA to successfully launch and operate critical publishing programs. This includes defining the business terms and supporting agreements for our publishing partners.

Qualifications:

To succeed, you will need experience analyzing complex business issue and opportunities. You will know how to put together a business case, to make a recommendation on business investments. You must be able to provide leadership to transform strategy into successful execution and have a passion for operational excellence. You should be self-sufficient, a strong communicator, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and comfortable interacting with technical leaders, product groups, and organizations across Microsoft. You will need to be a Power to Advanced user of Excel and other MS Office applications and comfortable giving presentations. The ideal candidate will have an MBA plus a minimum of 4 years experience in business development or finance in the video game or other consumer entertainment industries.
