Position Description
As a member of the MDS National Team, conducts technical analyses of existing and potential Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) elements and architectures in support of the definition and development of overall system requirements and required component functionalities. Initial emphasis will be on the MKV and quantification of its counter countermeasure capability. Uses, develops and refines MATLAB based system level models and simulations. Provides technical leadership for teams of 3-4 analysts. Coordinates with functional working group leads, other task leads, and government offices. Strong technical background in missile defense and systems engineering of large, complex weapon systems. Experience or working knowledge of the development of analytical tools and numerical modeling of complex systems using MATLAB or a similar computing environment. Strong communication skills, with proven ability to provide management with technical briefings. Must have study lead experience with teams of at least 3-4 analysts. SECRET security clearance.

Requires educational credentials meeting the Boeing classification standards for engineers and typically 14 to 19 years' experience in an engineering classification or educational credentials meeting the Boeing classification standards for engineers and either a Master's degree with 12 to 17 years' experience or a PhD degree with 9 to 14 years' experience in an engineering classification.
Other Job related information
Ballistic missile defense and MKV experience, including radars, kill vehicles and infra-red sensors. Experience designing, evaluating, and managing analysis tasks. Strong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilities. Familiarity with BMDS threat generation and selection. TOP SECRET clearance desired. MS preferred (BS acceptable ) in an applicable engineering or physical science.
