Position Description
Senior Systems Engineer for the Experimentation Design team at the Suffolk Customer Engagement Center. The candidate will provide technical leadership to an Experimentation Design team of senior technical staff that supports multiple experimentation projects, from initial contact with Boeing internal customers through to eventual execution and analysis of experiments involving external customers. The candidate will lead or assist in framing basic questions of interest to customers; constructively define and scope underlying problems to address customer needs; determine types of experiments to perform; define mission/system requirements as necessary; build an experiment architecture, to include top level schedule and budget; assist in the specification of future operational and functional concepts to be tested, and potential solutions; specify individual experimental design elements, to include type of events, scenarios, iterations, baseline, and control; support the operations analysis team as they develop the data collection plan; support preparation/presentation of final results; and support Virtual Operations execution of experiments as needed. The candidate will collaborate with and support SMEs and other Experimentation stakeholders/sites throughout Boeing IDS, to include the Virtual Warfare Center, Integrated Technology Development Laboratory, Boeing Integration Centers and Distributed Environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of team members are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required. Prefer significant experience dealing with senior military/government customers and working government programs. Prefer 15 years experience in a technical classification. Position requires significant domestic travel and the potential for occasional international travel.
