GE Gasification provides licenses and technology into the Chemicals, Fuels, Refining and Power Utility industries. The Gasification Licensing Business Strategist will develop the business case and IP strategy to grow the licensing business.

*The Product Line Manager will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives.

*Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional areas area of expertise.

*Responsible for all aspects of product development and delivery to the marketplace.

*Responsible for product improvement, revenue growth, strategic sales, and operational delivery.

*Monitor product financials, setting direction and improvement plans.

*Understand the product marketplace; know the competition and the product strengths and weaknesses to define the multi- generational product plan (MGPP).

*Build the business cases with marketing: Generate cost estimates & development strategies to support MGPP & New Product Introduction (NPI).

*Develop and deliver NPI functional specifications to the development team.

*Work with the IS Training to create training materials and training plans for the product.

*Pass the product test and QA/QC process by the PII risk board.

*Track ongoing needs for Product improvement for consideration in the S2 NPI budget so as to remain competitive and ensure continued product life.

*Work with Sales to establish regional strategies for the client base.

*With Marketing, create value proposition tools with supporting case studies, as appropriate.

*Support marketing as required in the development of marketing plans & strategies including symposium/board involvement.

*Directly support sales on key accounts and large orders.

*Design the template for pricing of the products within the basket.

*Develop prospecting sales material for key account managers.

Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in one of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or Mechanical Engineering.

*At least 5 years experience in Intellectual Property Management, Product Management, R&D or Business Development.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Desired

*MBA or Masters Degree in technical area preferrred.

*Experience with intellectual property development and management.

*Strong business acumen and business development/commercial transactions background.

*Experience in commercial / technical tradeoff decision-making.

*Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.

*Ability to manage and execute in a dynamic and matrix organization.

*Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (GE employees only).
